Mashaba Praises Bafana Bafana For Stopping Super Eagles.

The Chief coach of Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Shakes Mashaba, has praised his players for depriving Nigeria's Super Eagles from qualifying to defend the African Cup of Nations, Afcon, title won in South Africa in 2013.

Nigeria's Super Eagles needed a win to qualify for the 2015 Equatorial Guinea African Cup of Nations but the Bafana Bafana of Souh Africa chattered Eagles dream to end the crucial match, two - all draw.

Mashaba, who respect the Nigerian team for featuring quality players in the Afcon campaign, said South Africa would have won the match by three goals to two after his players failed to convert two scoring chances in the second half, adding that the red card issued to one of his players disorganised his team, hence the reason why they resorted to defensive style of football.

While noting that they lost the match in the last five minutes of referee's optional time, the coach, said the South African Football League had really helped the team's technical crew to select good domestic league players couple with the nation's best foreign based players to record scintillating performances in the 2015 Equatorial Guinea African Cup of Nations qualifier.
