16 Afcon Finalists To Share $10 Million

As the continental soccer fiesta kick- off today with the Group A match between Equatorial Guinea and Cong, the Confederation of African Football,CAF, says all the sixteen teams participating in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations,Afcon, will share the sum of ten million dollars.
Caf, says while the eventual winner will smile home with the sum of One point five million dollars, the second placed team will get a million dollars for its efforts to reach the finals.
According to Caf media guide for the games, the two semi-finalists will have seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The eight quarter-finalists are each guaranteed six hundred thousand dollars while third-placed teams in each of the first round groups will get five hundred thousand dollars each.
