The father of Steven Ukoh, Achibong Ukoh, has expressed satisfaction with his son decision to play for Nigeria's Super Eagles.
FIFA, recently cleared former Swiss Under 20 international, Steven Ukoh, to play for Nigeria's Super Eagles.
The versatile midfielder,plays for Biel-Bienne FC in the European country but has now switched his nationality to Nigerian, to enable him play for Super Eagles.
"The father of Steven Ukoh, Achibong Ukoh, was the guest of the team at the Al Shabab FC training ground and he came away with smiles over his son’s sparkling display in training.
“I’m so excited that he finally decided that he will play for Nigeria and he’s already played a game and I will be here to watch him on Saturday”, he said joyously.
The
player's father, who was at the Al Shabab FC training ground, thanked
the Nigeria Football Federation,NFF and the team's technical crew for
the opportunity given to his son to play for his father's land, adding
that his son will become a permanent feature in the team.
The Eagles will file out later Saturday evening 8:30pm UAE
time and 5:30 pm Nigerian time for the international friendly against Yemen at
the Sevens Stadium in Dubai, UAE.
