Former Super Eagles Striker, Obafemi Martins, has declared that embattled Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi forced him to retire from playing actively for the nation's senior national team.
The Seatle Sounders striker, who played two matches under the tutelage of Stephen Keshi, said he never thought of retiring from playing for Nigeria's Super Eagles but the negative attitude of Stephen Keshi towards him was an indication that he does not need his services, hence the reason why he is concentrating on his club's assignment in the major league soccer, MLS.
Martins, who scored the only goal for selected Super Eagles players in the Football for Hope match played over the weekend at the campos stadium, said he would turn down any invitation from the present executive barred of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
