The Super Eagles’ goalkeeper and skipper was not a happy man on his big day, as the team surprisingly lost 0-1 to Uganda in Uyo on the occasion of his 100th senior cap for Nigeria.
But he commendably overcame the sad feeling to turn up at the Uyo office of NFF partner, Globacom, on Thursday to give out N5,000 recharge cards to 100 subscribers of the telecommunications company.
Beneficiaries were selected from a competition organized by Globacom, and it was an exciting time for the veteran goalkeeper to bond with his own people at GloWorld, before flying out to France aboard an Air France plane from the Port Harcourt International Airport.
Globacom also presented the Eagles skipper with i-Phone 6 on which he will be able to make calls for free for the next one year.
