NFF Suspends Charles, Matador

The Referees Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has suspended, until the end of the current season, Referee John Charles and Assistant Referee Ogunta Matador, for poor performance in a Glo Premier League Week 4 match on Sunday.

Both arbiters were on duty when Sunshine Stars FC of Akure hosted Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt on Sunday. The homers won the game 2-1.

Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh said the two officials were suspended for “gross misconduct and performance below the required standard.
