Chelsea Steals Show At Ram Lovers Competition
Gifts worth over two million naira was distributed to winners in the annual Ram Sports Promoters Association of Nigeria which climaxed yesterday at the Oshodi Sports Complex, Oshodi.
Five hundred and twelve rams from the South West Nigeria featured in the tournament which greeted over a thousand spectators that were at the sports complex to watch thrilling sport.
According to the organisers, the tournament which started six weeks ago distributed brand new motorcyle to winners of each category while the runners up got a refrigerator for reaching the final.
In category E, Chelsea of Oshodi defeated Surprise of Alimosho by twenty hits in a game that thrilled the spctators while Colabor from Ibadan beat Kentebe Amaechi of Sagamu by sixty six to sixty five to win a brand new motorcycle.
Ijaya could not consume the superb form of Shangala of Lagos Island as the ram ran away after four hits.
The fight between Asha Night and Ajagungbade was the most interesting fights in the tournament as the organisers had to stop contest after seventy one hits of which the two rams were bleeding.
Asha Night was declared the winner through balloting but the owner of Ajagungbade was hell bent that his ram aws still fit to fight Asha Night.
