ZENITH BANK CUT DOWN SPONSORSHIP FUNDING TO N10 MILLION

Sponsors of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, national women league Zenith Bank Plc has reduced the sponsorship funding of the league from Fifteen Million naira from the last year's edition to ten Million naira.

According to the Federation's Media Officer, Segun Ikuesan, the cheque of ten million naira for this year's programme had so been issued to the Secretary General of the NBBF, Francis Gbiri. .

The new sponsorship package represent more than thirty percent reduction from the last sponsorship deal worth fifteen million naira.

President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Tijjani Umar, assured that the federation would do everything within the its power to make this year’s women league a success in spite of the reduction in the sponsorship fund released by the sponsor.

He said the federation would have to meet with stake-holders to discuss the new development.
