The Lagos based Babatunde Raji Fashola(BRF) Youth Football Academy is expected to jet out to Ghana on Friday for a friendly match with the Liberty Academy billed for Saturday in Accra.
The friendly invitation is at the instance of celebrated Ghanaian coach, Sly Tetteh, who is the Technical Director of the Ghanaian Youth side.
According to the administrator of the BRF Youth Academy, Kayode Oderinde, the 24 man delegation from Lagos made of 20 football players and four officials would depart for Ghana on Friday aboard Arik Air flight.
Oderinde, informed Sportsweight.blogspot.com that Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has continued to provide the best enabling environment for both the coaches and the players to excel.
In preparation for the friendly, the BRF team had last Saturday engaged Trainozzini Academy in a warm up match at the Governor's office training pitch, IKeja where they came off with a 2- nil victory with goals scored by Tunde Bbabalola and Salami Otolorin.
Also in hand to inspire the lads was former Nigerian international goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, who shared some ideas with the boys on the fundamentals of a successful football career.
Sportsweight.blogspot.com recalls that the BRF Football Academy was set up in January 2009 with the objective of raising well grounded future football players for Nigeria.
