
Head Coach of Sadiku Street, Sanni Ahmed, has commended Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for his determination to improved the standard of sports in the state through regular sponsorship of sporting activities.
The coach whose team was scheduled to play its matches at the Dairy Farm Secondary School, Agege Centre, also appreciated the efoorts of Commissioner For Youth, Sports and Social Development, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele and organizers of the annual MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship.
Speaking after his team overwhelmingly defeated Olusanya Street by five goals to one, Ahmed said the competition was one of the best ways to occupy the youth of the state in positive endeavors.
The Coach whose street came second in group-B of the Agege Zone, believed that Sadiku Street could qualified for the final and win te tournament with the quality of football artistry displayed by his players in the group stage .
Meanwhile five goals hero of the group, Aminu Bangi, said his best was yet to come as he promised to wreck more teams with his goals prowess.
The 19-year-old football player who single-handedly wrecked Olusanya Street in his side second group-B match is full of big dream.
Bangi wants the National League team to scout for players in the Lagos/MTN Street Soccer Championship because the tournament is a platform for him to attract offer from Premier League clubssides in Nigeria.
