Anthony Adefuye Street, Bariga Moves On

Anthony Adefuye Street from Bariga Local Council Development Area has qualified for the next Round of the ongoing MTN/Lagos Street Soccer Championship after emerging as winners of Group C, Center 8 at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Island. 　

The young lads from Bariga who co-incidentally are quarter-finalists from last year’s edition garnered 11 points from four games.

They recovered from a dismal One all draw in the group opener against Labinjo Street from Mushin and went ahead to rout Igbehinadun Street of Oshodi 5- nil, as the street also defeated Oredapo Street of Alimosho 3- nil and Makinde Street from Ikeja by a lone goal to win the ticket to the knockout round billed for this weekend.　

Speaking at the end of proceedings on Saturday, team manager of Anthony Adefuye Street of Bariga, Aderemi Alebiosu, confessed that he was greatly impressed by his lads’ all-round performance and particularly the way they played against Makinde Street of Ikeja who prior to their clash were more or less the crowd favorite.
