The 12th edition of Chess Heights Monthly will take place this Saturday at University of Lagos' Sports Center.
Sportsweight.blogspot.com, reports that the tournament is the most consistent chess tournament in Nigeria and it boasts of the participation of players with a wide range of strength.
According to the organisers, six chess players, Olaonipekun Agusto, Charles Campbell, Olamide Ajibowo, Kolawole Ladokun, Edunwale King and Austin Apemiye, that tied for first are expected to fight for distinction again.
The tournament is open to the participation of any human being. The aim of the organising team is to improve minds through chess, a game that stimulates the intellect.
Terry Tha Rapman, a musician will be gracing the occasion as an invited celebrity for this month's edition.
The event is being sponsored by the Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government,Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun.
