Eucheria Dedicates Trophy To God

The Chief coach of Super Falcons, Uche Eucheria, has dedicated the African Women Championship feat to God for wining the tourney for the six time after beating Equatorial Guniea in the final played yesterday in South Africa.

Eucharia, who commended the team for redeemng the image of Nigeria in African women football, said they were determined to win the competition which they failed to win at the last edition in 2008 in Malabo, Equatorial Guninea.

The coach whose team had qualified for the FIFA World Cup in Germany, in 2011, said the team's preparation would begin in good time to enable the team blend ahead of the World Cup, stressing that the AWC was an eye opener to the World Cup as the team's technical crew would correct allthe mistakes observed during the AWC.

The team's top striker, Perpetual Nkwocha, who won the tournament Highest Goal scored award, said she was delighted to help the Nigerian side to avenge the defeat suffered in the hands of the Equatorial Guniea in 2008.

The striker who promised to score fifteen goals during tourney scored ten goals to win the Highest Goal scored award.
