
President of the Nigeria Football Association,Aminu Maigari has congratulated the newly appointed Honourable Minister/Chairman, National Sports Commission, Professor Taoheed Adedoja.
Adedoja, a well-respected professor of sports administration, was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to oversee the Sports Ministry/National Sports Commission on Wednesday following the resignation of Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Bio, who resigned in order to pursue his ambition to contest the gubernatorial elections in Kwara State next year.
“The NFF is confident that the new Honourable Minister/Chairman will continue with the good works of his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Bio. We are very sure that the new Minister’s experience and knowledge as a professor of sports administration will boost sports in this country”, said Maigari.
The NFF President equally applauded the former Minister/Chairman NSC for his achievements while in charge of sports in the country.
“Alhaji Bio did bis best for sports in the country. We can only wish him the best as he pursues a higher office in his political career”, added Maigari.
In another development, the NFA President has conveyed warm season’s greetings to football lovers, stakeholders and enthusiasts in the country, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a very Prosperous Year 2011.
