NUASA Bestows Award On Bolaji Yusuf.

Following his glowing recodrs as Facilities Manager of Campos and Onikan Stadia, Bolaji Yusuf, the Nigerian University Accounting Students Association, NUASA, of Lagos State University Chapter has decorated the astute sports administrator an award of excellence.

Yusuf, a graduate of Political Science from the Lagos State University who was appointed as Facilities Manager by the administration of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has placed his worth on the sand of time as he has been able to bring a new lease of life towards sports management/facilities in the state.

According to the President of NUASA LASU Chapter, Oghenetega Erhima Lucky, the award bestowed to Yusuf was a testimony to the innovations and constructive ideas he has brought to managing of sports facilities which according to many sports enthusiats has really elevated Campos Mini Stadium to be the pride among other stadia in the state.

Yusuf, who for the Third year running has been the Chairman, Venue and Facilities Committee of MTN Street Socer Championship has keep a clean slate and this feat is worthy of recommendation, hence the reason the Association necessary to adorn the young sports administrator with the award.

Yusuf, an indegene of Lagos Island was not the only beneficiary of the award as Shola Giwa, the Special Assistant to the Governor on LASMA and Gbolahan Adepegba of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area were also proud beneficiaries of NUASA Award.

The Facilities Manager of Campos and Onikan Stadia, charged the students to be focus in life and never relent in their quest to reach the pinnacle of the life through hard work, dedication and prayer, adding that they should not allow the challenges of life to deprieve them from achieving remakable feats in life.

While speaking with the media, Yusuf, said he has concluded plans to run for the Legistative Arm of the Government, the Lagos State House of Assembly, during the 2011 general elections in a bid to further champion his course to the teeming youth of the State.

Being a graduate of Political Science, Yusuf, who believed he is endowed with necessary qualities and qualification to represent Lagos Island Constituency 11 at LAHA, explained that his vast experience in politics and sports administration would stand an added advantage to fulfil his promises, stressing that his mission is to build a state to a point where social,Economic and political justice can be guaranteed.

His past antecedents: the Youngest State Delegate, National Republican Convention, Former Councillor,Lagos Island Co ordinator Willco, Lagos Island Techical Facilitator 2007 General Election, Supervisory Councillor for Agric, Lagos Island Local Government, Chairman Bursary Award Committee among others.
