Nigerian pugilist, Segun Ajose, has called on the Minister of Sports, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, to support his training programmes to win the final eliminator scheduled for May in Algeria, in Africa.
Ajose, who has been training in Nigeria and America, said he was now indebted due to his quest to make Nigeria proud as the Nigerian Army has been of tremendious assistance towards his quest to beat Ali Chebah on his home soil in Algeria.
He said plans are in top gear to meet with the Minister as soon as possible as he believed that he needs the Federal Government support to enable him to pay his sparring partners, hotel bills among others, stressing that he is in good competition mood to win the contest, adding that he is planning to attract some corporate bodies to support him to add value to his boxing career.
Ajose, who described Chebah as a great boxer who has won 34 fights out 34 as he lost only one in a controversial manner in Mexico, said his experienced World class who has speed and credible training patterns would stand him out against Chebah, adding that he would not be intimdated to beat the Algerian pugilist at home as he has been used to the trend.
Ajose, has won all his 29 bouts and he successfully defended his English title which he relinquished.
