Dolphins FC rave of the moment, Derrick Amadi says he is looking at scoring more goals as he hopes to lead the Port Harcourt based side to their third League title after previous wins in 1997 and 2004.
Amadi has scored three goals in the last three games played by the club and he says he must stay focused to keep scoring.
“I thank God for my goals and how they have brought smiles to the faces of my team mates, coaches and fans of the club but I must keep scoring if we will achieve anything this season.
“It is not about personal glory and I am not seeking any of it. I rather want my team to win the title and if my goals help us win the League it will be a good thing for all of us,” Amadi said.
Amadi joined the club middle of last season from Heartland and he says he did not set any goal scoring target for himself at the start of the season and will not set any now.
“Before the league started I just wanted to play my game and hep my club not really considering if I will score any particular amount of goals and now I have chosen not to do any such thing.
“As long as my coaches are happy with me and I continue to play to instructions I’m sure I will score goals but I must make it clear that the glory of my club is more important that any personal gloary and that is paramount for me.”
