There are strong indications that Nigerian born Wigan Athletic player, Victor Moses, will play for the Super Eagles in the team’s Afrian Nations Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in an away match in June.
Moses was ineligible to play for Nigeria until his application to switch nationality is approved by FIFA.
To this end, Moses application, with the accompanying documents, including a signed letter from the player has been forwarded to FIFA by the NFF and he is expected to be free to represent Nigeria away to Ethiopia in June.
Meanwhile, Osaze Odemwingie as well as Victor Moses left the Super Eagles camp on Monday to return to their clubs.
Odemwingie is off to continue treatment on his torn thigh muscle.
Odemwingie passed a late fitness test after suffering a muscle tear in West Brom's last league game against Arsenal and he spent most of the past week undergoing treatment from the Nigeria medical team.
The duo of Ekigho Ehiosun and Nnamdi Oduamadi are to rejoin the Super Eagles after Olympic team duties on Saturday in Benin.
Ehiosu arrived on Sunday from Benin, while Oduamadi is expected on Monday.
"Those are the only two players joining us from the Under 23 team," Head Coach Samson Siasia said, ruling out reports of Haruna Lukman having been invited.
