Following the commitment of the LagosState Football Association,LSFA,to revive football to meet international standard,the Lagos Divisional Football Association,LDFA,hass resolved to make the Association as a model through seriies of programmes.
The chairman of the Lagos Divisional Football Association, Prince Ifalade Oyekan,said the present board members had takken recccords of privateand public schools within Lagoss Island with an intension of having a data base of the pupils as plaans aare in top geaarr to organise age grade football competitions for the schools.
Oyekan, who sees age grade footbball tournnament as the future of Nigeriaan football, said the LDFA wwoulld also use the opportunity to assess sports facilities at the schools,stresssing that the association would motivate and encourage ccorporate bodies and sports philantrophists to support the LDFA's quest to renovate footbaall facilities under its control.
The Barristter, said the LDFA would soon organise a stakeholders meeting where the club owners, coaches, football referees among othhers would be opportuned to deelibrate on issues that would takee football administration in Lagos Island to the next level in Lagos Island
He said the LDFA would also organisee a footbaall league with the support of the corporate bodiees as he explained thata the new board would embark on courtesy visit to attract prominent individuals and corporrate bodies whose interest in football development are genuine.
