NFF To Support Eagles Quest To Secure ANC Ticket.

The Nigeria Football Federation is staging a campaign to ensue that the Super Eagles secure group ticket for the championship to be co-hosted by Equitorial Guinea and Gabon early next year.

This was contained in a communique issued after its emergency meeting in Abuja on
Monday.

The NFF commended the Super Eagles for their triumph over Madagascar in a Nations Cup qualifier in Antananarivo as well as for the 'gallant'showing in their 3-1 defeat to Argentina in a friendly in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Federation also praised the National Beach Soccer team for a gritty performance at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Ravenna, Italy, which saw the team stretch the then reigning world champions, Brazil, to extra time in the quarter finals," the communique added.

The NFF assured the Super Falcons and the Olympic Dream Team V full support to earn tickets to the football tournaments of next year's Olympic Games in London.

Similarly, the Nigeria Football Federation will supervise the elections into the Chairman of NPL and Chairman of Chairmen to be held on Wednesday at the FIFA Technical Centre, National Stadium Complex, Abuja.

The Federation, says the gesture is in line with a Federal High Court, Abuja order.

According to the body, the elections will be conducted by the NPL Electoral Committee of the status quo, less the two persons who have resigned Tony Rafua and Felix Anyansi-Agwu.

The electorate will be composed of the 20 Premier League clubs as at the time of the elections that were nullified by the court order.
