Daniel Amokachi Lambaste Siasia As Ikpeba Commends Him.

Former Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi, has attributed the team's ouster from the African Nations Cup to tactically deficiency in their last group match against Guinea in the CAF Nations Cup qualifier played on Saturday at the National Stadium, Abuja.

Amokachi, who claimed that the team failed to live up to expectations, said the likes of Taye Taiwo, Chinedu Obasi, Osaze Odewingie does not deserve to be featured in the match because they were nursing injuries prior to the crucial match.

The former coach of Nigerian Home based Eagles, explained that Siasia failed as the team's Head coach not to start Ikechukwu Uche, who according to him changed the mood of the match by scoring a goal and setting a goal for Obinna Nsofor, adding that Ahmed Musa who is a pacy football players was kept on the bench till second half.

He believed that Siasia killed the game when he introduced the third striker leaving the team's formation to 4 - 2 - 4, a move he claimed pave the way for the Guinean side to further attack the Eagles because the pattern created big vacuum in the midfield when Eagles lose football.

He said Siasia zeal for a third goal was another tactical error the coach commited because 2- 1 victory was enough to earn Eagles a ticket to the African Nations Cup, adding that he confronted the NFF technical committee to confirmed if the players were aware that they needed to consolidate on the 2 - 1 margin.

To Ikpeba, the football players featured by Siasia are good enough to beat Guinea and qualify for the African Nations Cup, stressing that the team failed to take advantage of the scoring chances created during the match.

IKpeba, who did not comply with the position of Daniel Amokachi on Siasia list, said Ikechukwu Uche was not fantastic during the match against Madagascar in an away match in the African Nations Cup, stressing that Siasia has the right to pick he first eleven for any match.
