Adijat Promises Gold Medal At EKO 2012 Games.

A National Sports Festival Bronze medalist Atanda Adijat ,has assured Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola that she will win a Gold medal at Eko 2012 Games in November having won Bronze medals at two previous editions of the Games.

The kick boxer won Bronze medals at Kada Games 2010 and Garden City Games, 2011.

Adijat , 20, feather weight kick-boxer, who represented Yaba Local Council Develoment Area, won a gold medal at the just concluded 2012 IBILE games after beating Fatimo AbdulYusuf.

The kick boxer who believed she was robbed in the semi-final clash against Edo state kick boxer at the Garden City Games in 2011, said wining a Gold medal at the just concluded IBILE Games was a testimony that she is mentally and physically prepared to win a Gold medal.

According to her, she has step up her training programme to sit her desire for a Gold medal as she believe that the gesture would earn her an invitation to the national camp where she would be able to demonstrate her skills.

She said her aspirations was not only to become a national champion but and African Queen of the sport, adding that the Lagos State should endeavor to pay the athletes allowances to motivate them to excel at the EKO 2012 Games.
