Written By sportsweight.blogspot.com on Monday, May 28, 2012 | 1:51 AM

The Lagos state commissioner for Youth ,Sports and Social Development, Barrister Wahid Enitan  Oshodi has said that the number of young and hidden talents that featured in the games is a reward of the efforts which the state put into the staging of the 2012 Lagos State Sports Festival , tagged Ibile games.

Oshodi said focus would now be on the athletes discovered and they would be seriously engaged by the sports associations with help of the 106 honorary coaches employed by the Lagos State Government.

The commissioner explained that  the Ibile games which serve as a test run to the 'Eko 2012 '18th National sports Festival which Lagos will host in November has fitted into the plans of the local organising committee as the shortcoming notice will help a successful National Sports Festival.

Oshodi lauded the support received from corporate organisations who despite short notice throw their weight behind the Ibile games hoping that the National Sports Festival will be a successful event and strengthen the county's unity through sports.

The commissioner concluded that the sports association will commence their quarterly champions  and open camps for athletes  that will be selected to represent the state at the National sports Festival.
