Maigari Wants Matchmakers To Stage A Beffiting Awards Nite.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has said that the determination and dedication to pave the way for development of football informed their decision to partner with the Matchmakers Consult International in organizing a befitting football awards tagged Nigeria Pitch Awards.

Its First Vice President, Mike Umeh, who represented the Federation's President, A minu Maigari, said the awards would help to recognise stellar performances and achievements of Nigerian football players who are extra- ordinary as he believed that the gesture would inspire and encourage the players to put in their very best.

Umeh, who noted that football players who brought honors to the nation deserve due recognition in terms of awards, said the consultant had been given a mandate to ensure the best standards and prstices are employed to the glory of Nigerian football.

He said the NFF would monitor the progress  in every aspect of the project including the seminar and international charity match to draw attention to human trafficking,adding that the Federal Government through the National Sports Commission should be commended for its huge support to Football and the NFF.

While praising Austin Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, Ann Chiejine and other patriotic Nigerian athletes who had served the nation in different capacity as football players, coaches, referees, administrators, sponsors, supporters among others.
