Speaking at a short ceremony at the Team Ogun camp site at Federal College of Education Technical Akoka Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Olugbenga Otenuga said the reward was to encourage the athletes and to tell those who are still competing that there is always an instant reward after each handwork
While congratulating the Athletes for doing the state proud the commissioner urged others who are still competing in their different sports to strive hard to win medals so that they can benefit from the reward system
He also used the opportunity to assure the athletes of adequate welfare during and after the festival saying that the Senator Ibikunle Amosun is committed to grassroots sports development
The reward is outside the state award ceremony which is within the purview of the State Government Ogun has now won 4 gold 12 silver and 14 Bronze medal
