Police College Agog For 2012 ipNX Rookies’ Tourney.

The 2012 ipNX rookies’ basketball tournament will dunk-off on Boxing Day at the Police College, Ikeja according to a statement by tournament coordinator Mark Balogun,Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Balogun opined that the tournament will feature teams in U18 category for men and women and Under 16 men with side-attraction by Under 14 boys.

 The competition will run through December 31 with winners going home with attractive prizes.

 “The 2012 edition of the ipNX rookies’ tournament will features teams in two different categories, Under 18 and Under 16 men and women and a special side attraction from Under 14 boys.

 “The tournament is growing and we shall continue to do our best to sustain it year-in year-out, concluded Balogun.

Meaanwhile,Basketball action continue today with 8 games at the ongoing 2012 ipNX Rookies Basketball Tournament.

 In some of the events decided on Wednesday in Under 14 Boys event Rookies Academy of Lagos defeated High Flyers of Warri by 23 points to 22. Raptors Basketball of Lagos outdunked High Flyer of Warri by 20 points to 17.

In the Under 16 Men,Raptors Basketball of Lagos defeated Team A of Rookies Academy of Lagos by 28 points 19 Warriors Academy of Lagos outsmart Team B of Rookies Academy Team B, Lagos by points 38 to 30 in the Under 18 Men event.

 While Team-A of Rookies Academy Lagos defeated Timberwolves of Lagos by 40 points to 19.
