Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has been advised to establish a strong relationship with the National Sports Commission, NSC, to pave the way for talents development programme.
Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, who made this statement while addressing the victorious Eagles at the Lagos House, Ikeja, said the Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, through the Nigeria Football Federation should make available a virile scouting system where football coaches under the employment of the NFF would be deployed to the six geo- political zones to discover talents who would be recommended to Keshi for approval.
Fashola, said the NFF must build a strong Nigeria Football League which Nigeria soccer fans would know its commencement and closing date as well as the Federation's Cup, stressing that the league must be powered by a professional Chief Executive Officer from the private sector and the clubs owners.
The Governor who believed that government at all levels should take the back seat for the private sectors to run the league, said Lagos State government had taken over the old Julius Berger Football Club and it has been transformed to a full Limited Liability Company funded by shareholders.
