President Goodluck Jonathan, has urged officials of the Nigeria Football Association,NFA to meet up with the demand of Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, following the withdrawal of resignation as the team's head coach.
The President made this statement on Tuesday while receiving the team and its officials in Abuja after wining the African Cup of Nation which came to a close on Sunday in South Africa.
Jonathan, who praised the team for making the nation proud and also writing the nation's name in Gold among the comity of African football playing nations, said the NFA must endeavor to review keshi's contract so as to continue with the team and also qualify Nigeria for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
The President appealed to Stephen Keshi to forget about what prompted him to resign as he has enjoined the Sports Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, to resolve the crisis between him and the NFA in a bid to put the team in the right frame of mind ahead of future competitions.
