IBB Lady Captain to stage the 1st World Amateur Golf Event in Nigeria

History will be made on the 2nd of April 2013 when the first tee is played kicking off the start 2nd All African Junior Golf Championships.
The KGI event co-hosted by the Lady Captain of IBB Golf & Country club, Mrs Anne Addeh marks the beginning of new era for amateur golf in Nigeria. The event will be televised on national TV.
The stroke play event will take place over 3days where juniors aged 5-17years will compete to earn world ranking points. The world ranking point systems is managed by the R and A and the USGA.
It is used to invite world class athletes on sponsor’s exemption to international ranked events such as the British Open or U.S. Open.
An estimated 90 junior players from IBB, Enugu, Rayfield GC, Ibori GC, Ikoyi Club 1938, Ikeja GC, Port Harcourt, Rosani GC as well as players from the UK, France, Ghana, U.S.A are expected to be present.
Kids Golf International kicked off for the first time in Nigeria in 2012 and is dedicated to building Nigerian future golf professionals from the grassroots.
