Beach Soccer Coach Ejor Upbeat on World Cup Qualification

Head Coach of the Beach Soccer National team, Adamu Audu Ejor has expressed confidence in his side ability to pick one of the two available Africa Zone qualification ticket for the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti.

Coach Ejor as fondly called by friends and colleagues revealed this on Thursday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) while quizzed over plans for the tournament, admitted that getting the qualification ticket to Tahiti in Morocco is the most important.

Coach Adamu insisted that the victory at the 2012 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Championship is still fresh in the memory of the team as they are more than ready to ensure Nigeria is represented at the World Cup come September, 2013.

He declared that the trust and confident reposed in the Supersand Eagles by Nigerians will not to betray as they will not leave any stone unturned to grab the ticket.

He however commended the efforts of the Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Adamu at ensuring the team is well-motivated to make Nigerians proud, stressing that the Beach soccer national team will not disappoint the Federation.

“I’m very confident we will do well in Morocco and pick the ticket to the World Cup. The players are hungry and will out to prove the back-to-back winning of the Copa Lagos is not a fluke.

“We are happy with the efforts of NFF Secretary General, Bar Musa Adamu and the Technical Committee of the Federation who are working out logistics to ensure all preparations are in place, we are determined not to disappoint them.

“The most important is making sure the Nigeria flag is hoisted in Tahiti – we will do all in our best as we have been doing before to get the ticket to make Nigerians proud,” the team’s private media assistant, Samuel Ahmadu quoted him Coach Ejor as saying.

In a related development, the Beach Soccer national team Coach, Adamu Audu has announced the reopening of camp for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 Qualifier will run from 10th May to 26th May at it camping base in Badagry, Lagos.

He also disclosed that 18 players have been shortlisted for camping which is undergoing scrutiny at the Glass House and expected to be made public next week.

Coach Adamu indicated that the Supersand Eagles will after completing it camping on 26th of May jet out for Morocco on 27th of May, 2013.

 “We are opening camp from May 10 – 26th and on 27th May of 2013 leave for Morocco. I have invited 18 players to camp though the list is still waits for approval from the NFF, but hopefully will be made public next week.”

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 Qualifier championship to be hosted in Casablanca, Morocco will take place from May 29 to June 2nd, 2013.

Two finalists of the tournament will be the nations to represent Africa in Tahiti in September.
