World Football governing body, FIFA is to visit Nigeria to organise a Beach Soccer Clinic for Coaches and Referees, an NFF source said.
The upcoming Clinic will be the first to be organised by FIFA in Nigeria.
Source hinted the visit of some FIFA delegate to Nigeria is in bid to educate and orientate the Coaches and Referees on the minty gritty of the variant game of soccer.
The official informed that the maiden event will hold from the 3rd - 9th May, 2013 in Calabar.
We recall that the first Beach Soccer Clinic was held in Lokoja at the Confluence Hotel though organised by the Nigeria Football Federation with only Africa’s FIFA Beach Soccer Instructor and Supersand Eagles’ Team Secretary, Dr Sunday Okayi leading the classes.
Nigeria is one of the fastest growing Beach Soccer playing Nation in the World as they are currently pitched six and Africa’s first in Beach Soccer as two-time champions.
The course when completed will boost the human capacity base of the coaches and officials on the variant of football and will exposed the participants to craving for the Beach Soccer nationwide.
