The Golden Eagletss recorded the highest margin score yet at the tournament after a flattering 7-0 thrashing of Congo Brazzaville which took them to the top of Group B in Marrakech-after earlier 6-1 win over Ghana.
The team’s only loss yet was the 1- nil to Cote d’Ivoire but Maigari at a morning session on Sunday at the Ryad Mogador Hotel told the players they cannot afford any slip up for the remaining part of the competition.
Nigeria has won the Confederation of African Nations Under 17 on two previous occasions in 2001 and 2007 and Maigari believes this current team is on the threshold of history to extend the country’s record at this level by going all the way.
