EgyptTable Tennis Players Than Us, Says Funke

Nigerian ace female table tennis player, Funke Oshonaike, says Egypt table tennis players are not a threat to the Nigerian ping- ponger as the first Lagos International table tennis classic begins on Thursday.

Oshonaike, said the Egyptain players were exposed to a structured training programmes which aided the growth of table tennis in Egypt, stressing that the likes of Offiong Edam,Aruna Quadri,Seun Ajetunmobi are in good form to make Nigeria proud at the compitition.

The olympian,said the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, NTTF,should emulate Egypt Table Tennis Federation by establishing development programmes and also seeking the support of corporate bodies to engape the Nigerian home based players in regular competitions.

She noted that Lagos International Table Tennis Classic would go a long way in adding valves to the growth of the Game in Nigeria.
