Toriola:Am Still Relevant In Nigerian Table Tennis.

Segun Toriola.
Nigerian number one table tennis player, Segun Toriola, says he is still relevant in the modern day table tennis despite his age in the sport.

The France based table tennis player, said it was wrong of any group in the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation,NTTF, to call for his disengagement from the national team following his years of dominance in sport, stressing that such insinuation had deprived former Nigerian internationals, Atanda Musa, Sunday Eboh among others to distance themselves from the national team.

Toriola, explained that the crop of Nigeria’s ping pongers were very good but they still needed to acquire skills from the nation's  former internationals who have vast experience,  stressing that his semi-final match against Kazeem Makanjuola, a Nigerian home based player, was an indication that the nation was blessed with potentials in the sport.

The Baryand Argenlan of France players, said he would leave the sport when it was too glaring that his health condition could not withstand the rigours of table tennis, adding that he would support the federation’s head coach as he leaves the national team so as to build a virile team.
