Victor Ochie Urges Nigerian Wheelchair Team To Pick World Cup Ticket.

Grand patron of theWheelchair Basketball Federation,Honourable Victor Ochei, has charged the National Wheelchair Basketball team to fight hard and win the sole ticket for the world wheelchair Basketball championship.

The team will participate in the forthcoming African qualifier for the world cup billed for Angola, in October. 

Ochei, who doubles as the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly ,who  promised the team total support for the Angola trip, said it would be a great honour if the country's flag is hoisted at the world cup to be hosted in South Korea next year.

To this end, the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation has invited 20 players to open camp which open on Monday at the National Stadium Surulere as only twelve wheelchair players will be selected  for closed camping ahead of the qualifier.

Its President, Bukola Olopade,President,said the players would undergo serious training and that the selection would be made on merits.

He commended the Speaker Delta state house of assembly for his unflicnhing support to the growth of the sport.
