LSFA/Skye Bank Oba Soccer Cup Quarter Final Kicks -Off Today.

The much awaited quarter final of this year's edition of he LSFA/Skye Bank Oba Soccer Cup will commence on Wednesday at the Agege and Onikan Stadia.
Vice Chairman, Lagos State Football Association,LSFA, Tade Azeez,, explained that all the quarter final matches would played simultaneously to avoid match fixing and also to give the soccer fans an opportunity to watch quality football matches.
According to the fixtures, 36 Lions Football Club will play against Current Football Club in the first match whi Starruf Football Club will challenge Olukoya babes in the second tie slated for Agege Stadium.
At the Onikan Stadium, LSDPC will cofront Ascender Football Club in the match while Bomb Blast Football Club will take on Kings United Football Club in the second match scheduled for Onikan Stadium.
While thanking the management of Skye Bank Limited for supporting the association in sponsoring the age- long Oba Soccer competition, Azeez, sad the sum of two million naira had been earmarked as the prize money for the winner, first runner- up and third placed team.
Skye Bank, Head Corporate Communication, Rasheed Bolarinwa, said the decision to partner with the LSFA was to create an avenue for football players to showcase their talents and also to select the best among them.
Oba of Lagos, His royal highness, Rilwan Akiolu, is expected to grace the final fixed for Thursday, 21st of November, 2013, at the Onikan Stadium as the Special Guest of Honour alongside the Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Wahid Enitan Oshodi.
