The 1st Lagos International Squash Classics which began on the 27th of November came to an end at the
Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre,Rowe Park , Lagos.

The event which ended with a lot of fanfare featured players in the men,Ladies and under 19 boys categories.
During the finals, Rodney Durbach of South Africa beat Tunde Ajagbe of Nigeria by 3-1 .In the Ladies event,Heba Alaa Ahmed Mohammed of Egypt defeated Ebifemi Taiwo
of Nigeria 3-0 to
clinch the Ladies title ;while in the under 19 boys event ,Edward Bette offers Nigeria whipped Temiloluwa Adegoke also of Nigeria by 3-0 to clinch the under 19 boys title.
According to the Chairman of Lagos State squash Association,Sanya Akindele, 'The Cash prize of $40,000 was sponsored by both the Lagos state government and the Lagos State Squash Association in conjunction with our sponsors'
The participants for the Classics came from Egypt,DRC,South Africa,UK,Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
The special guests of honour include the Lagos State's Commissioner for youths,sport and Social development,Waheed Enitan Oshodi,the president of Squash Federation of Africa,Hany Hamouda of Egypt.Lucky Milo,an International Refree from Zimbabwe was also invited and participated in the programme.
