Nigeria's whhelchair tennis team beganits title defence of the African Wheelchair Tennis Championship in Nairobi Kenya on a bright note with a comprehensive 3-0 win over the host nation.
Despite arriving less than 24 hours to the match, Nigeria, through Wasiu Yusuf beat Rajabu abdalah 6- luv, 6- luv while Alex Adewale outplayed Caleb Odiyo 6- luv, 6- 1.
The duo who featured at the London 2012 Paralympic Games capped their impressive display with their Kenyan opponents 6- luv,6- ;uv in the doubles.
They are scheduled to meet Egypt today in the six-nation event which has Morocco, Tanzania and Uganda in group B.
Nigeria is aiming to win the Men's title for the fourth consecutive year. The winner will represent Africa at the World championship billed for tje Netherlands later this year.
