DAWN GAMES:Oyo State Defeat Team Lagos

Head Coach of Lagos State football team, Olatunde Lawson, has attributed his team defeat to Oyo State in the Semi final of football event in the Ongoing DAWN to tactical indiscipline and lackadausical attitude of the football players.

The host team Lagos loss to Oyo state by one to two goals as Tajudeen Sodia, scored a brace while Michael Andrew second half goal was not enough to take Team Lagos to the final of football event.

Lawson, while speaking with our correspondent, said the team's technical crew had changed the team to put behind them the painful defeat and focus on the third place match against Team Osun, in a cracker scheduled for today at the Agege stadium.

The coach said the mobility of his midfielders, Ibrahim Kazeem and Rasheed Quadri to take absolute control of the midfield paved the way for the Team OYO to overwhelm his team, adding that Team OYO build their attack from the midfield to the wing which gave them a victory against his boys.

He explained that the defeat which he described as painful, was a big lesson as he urged his players to always play according to instructions, stressing that mother luck was against his team as they played better in the first half.
