NFF Executive Committee Sacks Aminu Maigari.

In a way to pave the way for peace to reign in Nigerian football, the President of the Nigeria football Association,NFA, Aminu Maigari, has been removed after the association's Executive Committee passed a vote of no confidence on him on the ground of financial misappropiration, misapplication and maladministration.

Magari's removal was decided after an exhaustive delibration on the secrecy surrounding all financial dealings of the NFA and failure to call meeting for the past eight months.

To this end, the Executive Committee has appointed NFA first Vice- President, Mike Umeh, as the Acting President and he is to preside the association affairs pending the compsing of the new Nigeria Football Association.

The Committee, however, While appreciating President Goodluck Jonathan for his massive and continued support to the association and the national teams, the Executive Committee also thanked football world's governing body, FIFA, and the Confederation of African Football for their keen interest in the development of Nigeria football.

The Committee pledged that the nation would continue to abide by the dictate of FIFA and CAF status and FIFA approved NFA status.
