Chika Dedicates Medal To God

 

Nigeria's female gold medalist, Amalaha Chika, says her key words, proper, preparation,prevent poor, performance aided her to set a new commonwealth games records in the women's 53 weight kilogramme.

 

Chika, a sixteen year old athletes, who left Toua Dika of Papua N Guinea to settle for Silver medal after a great tussle, recorded eighty five points in snatched and one hundred and ninety- six points in Clean and Jerk tops gropu A with the total of one hundred and ninety six points.
 

 

The athlete whose target has always been to become world champion, said she work very hard to achieve the feat which has placed Nigeria seventh on the medals table and that she would not relent in her to sustain the success recorded at the Games.

 

Chika, who dedicate dthe medal to God, said had to re- double her efforts after a poor performance in her second attempt, stressing that she has to brace up to kill the spirit of nervousness to brake a record set a Nigerian weightlifter, Augustina Nwokolo, who was seventeen year old when she won the Women's 48 kilogramme in Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.
 

The gold medalist, promised to repeat the same feat at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with proper preparation in order to prevent poor performance, adding that she would be dedicated to training,determined to win laurels and discipline to achieve success.
