Seventeen centres across Lagos State will be agog as the season seven of the annual MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship kicks off this Saturday.
The tournament is the most consistent Five - A- Side grassroots football competition in all ramifications since 2008 and has continued to offer genuine platform for talent discovery and youth engagement.
According to the Executive Secretary, Deji Aladegbemi, matches will kick off simultaneously across designated match venues beginning with the Under 15 Junior and Male Categories.
Over 569 teams will compete for the coveted prize with firm support from the mobile communications giant, MTN Nigeria Plc in conjuction with the Lagos State Government under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development.
Over 300 teams will compete in the Under 15 junior category, which debuted last year.
