Pulse Charges NRFF To Set Up An Academy.

South Africa’s rugby legend, Breyton Pulse, has urged Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, NRFF, to set up a rugby academy in order to further develop the game of rugby in Nigeria.

The rugby legend who was in Nigeria with another South Africa Rugby legend, Danie Gerber, said their visit to Nigeria was to train the nation’s rugby coaches and interest Nigerian young rugby players who are in the school system, stressing that the idea would set the pace for Nigeria to produce world class players.

He said the programme would focus on the basic and fundamental skills to enable the youths to make the national team in the future and also to rate the nation among the best rugby playing nations in Africa.

Vice President, NFRR, Tunji Fasimoye, said the federation would definitely benefit from the wealth of experience of South African Rugby legends, adding that their visit to Nigeria was in the right direction to improve the standard of rugby in Nigeria.
