Super Falcons continued their build up for their All Africa Games
qualifier against Mali with a 12-0 trouncing of Spotlight Queens of
Katsina in another friendly in Abuja.
Smarting from a 3-0 defeat of Kogi Confluence Queens, Super Falcons
wasted no time in the demolition job when Ngozi Okobi opened scoring in
the 4th minute against the Pro league side.
Mercy Amanze 25th, Okobi 35th and Loveth Ayila 37th minutes goals
ensured that Falcons led 4-0 at interval with the visitors barely
managing only a shot at goal.
Chioma Wogu’s hat trick and goals from Mercy Amanze, Chisom Henry,
Iniabasi Umotong, Ebere Okoye and Onyinyechi Ohadugha completed the
goals rain in the second half.
Coach of the Super Falcons Edwin Okon said though the opposition was
weak, he used the game to try out some tactics and formations adding
that attention will now be on how to beat Mali in Bamako this weekend.
