Many Football Scouts will storm the Agege Stadium on Thursday to watch the young and enterprising Buruj
Sports Academy players exhibit their skills with a view to selecting those who excel for further trials.
This disclosure was made by the Managing Director of the Ikorodu-based academy, Salaudeen Waheed, as he was charging and psyching the players up ahead of the match after their training session on Monday.
According to him, Buruj Sports Academy encounter against First Bank will provide unique opportunity for the players to impress and possibly play their way to professional contracts both at home and abroad.
"I can assure that quite a large number of accredited football scouts both locally and internationally will be on hand to watch our boys do their thing. I don't want to put them under pressure but I must let them know so that they can seize the occasion to impress."
"Our match against First Bank will be tough, but with what I'm seeing day-by-day in their training sessions, I am sure the boys will stand toe-to-toe with the Bankers; and who knows whether that is the occasion
that will drive them to shine at a bigger stage and play their way to professional contracts," he asked rhetorically.
The match against First Bank will kick-off at exactly 3.30 pm, according to the fixtures released by the organisers- the Lagos State Football Association.
