LMC Holds Mid-season Seminar For Club Chairmen, Media Officers

The League Management Company, LMC, has concluded plans to hold a one day training program for Club Administrators, Media Officers and Chairmen of the Clubs’ Supporters.

Its chairman, Shehu Dikko, said the seminar which would hold on Thursday is in line with the strategic development plans to enhance capacity of Administrative and  Media managers of the clubs to build a commercially viable football league product, adding that it is also part of the activities for the 2014/15 Glo Premier League mid-season break which began on July 20. The League resumes this weekend.

Dikko, who stressed that the programme is also part of the activities for the 2014/15 Glo Premier League mid-season break which began last Monday, said the company was organizing a customized executive management training program that will involve examining several established case studies and interactive sessions.

A one day training program for Club Administrators, Media Officers and Chairmen of the Clubs’ Supporters has been scheduled to hold Thursday, July 30 in Abuja on the auspices of the League Management Company (LMC).

On the content of the training for Club Administrators, Dikko said the LMC is organizing a customized executive management training program that will involve examining several established case studies and interactive sessions.

“We hope to get Club Managers and Administrators to gain further insight and capacity for developing their clubs as base structure for building the business of football in Nigeria at the end of this program”, Dikko explained.

The topic for the Club Managers/Administrators seminar which holds at the Abuja Hilton is “The Football Business in Nigeria- the Value Chain of Club Football” and a range of experts in various fields of business development, sales and marketing communication have been slated to run the course.

On the same day in Abuja, Media Officers of the 20 Premier League clubs will also undergo training on Effective Communication to Opening New Business Frontiers on New Media
