Laluko Lambaste Amuneke On Scouting System.

The former Technical Director of Nigeria Football Federation, Kashimawo Laluko, has lambasted the chief coach of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets, Emmanuel Amuneke, for his unprofessional scouting attitude in selecting football players ahead of the FIFA Under seventeen World Cup in Chile.

Laluko, who stressed that Nigeria's Golden Eaglets might not defend the FIFA World Cup title won in United Arab Emirates, in 2011, based on his selection of football players, said the former Barcelona star, who was the Head coach of the team should not by any standard be responsible for the scouting or selecting football players for the team.

"Golden Eaglets came 3rd in Korea in an Invitational International Friendly and my decision is about selection and scouting.The coach, should not be scouting for players by himself." He should not be selecting the players because he knows them or likes them. He ought to have scouts in all the regions" He said

"We are not going to excel at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Chile if we do not do the right things in proper manner".It is also important to discover the right type of players to play for the national team.There was a very good player among my boys, they said the player was too young. My overall assessment is that they are not developing our sports properly." He explained

According to him, the move will not give Amuneke the right sense of judgement of picking quality and skillful young talented football players whose level of maturity in the game of football would help the team to retain the FIFA Under seventeen World Cup trophy won four years ago.

Laluko, explained that the former Super Eagles forward did not give one of his players from Pepsi Football Academy to part in the team on the premise that the player was too young to make the squad, adding that the Nigeria Football Federation,NFF must have a standard scouting system through the geo-political zones in order to give adequate representation of the nation in the national team.
