500 Kids To Particpate In TREM Football Academy Free Soccer Clinic.

The Redeemed Evangelical  Mission,TREM football academy,TFA, will on Friday a the training pitch of the National Institute for Sports, National Stadium, Surulere, organize a one- day free soccer clinic for private and public schools in Lagos State.

Coordinator of TREM football academy Pastor Dennis Kenkwo, said a total of five hundred pupils from twenty primary and secondary schools would participate in the programme slated for Friday at the training pitch of National Institute for Sports. N.I.S.

According to him, the programme would be facilitated by former captain of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets Segun Fatuga alongside twenty coaches who would will tutor the kids on rudiment of football as the coaches would screen the young football players to select the best thirty - four players.

The pastor, said the church delved into the free soccer clinic which was second edition, in order to create an avenue for the kids to widen their horizons in football so as to become the future of Nigeria's Super Eagles and also to introduce them to God through Jesus Christ.

Kenkwo, who noted that each participating school would feature twenty- five pupils, stressed that the best among the kids would join the TREM Football Academy where they would further acquire skills which could pave the way for them to play for the Golden Eaglets or other national teams in the future since the event was opened to pupils between eight and fifteen years old.

While speaking on the soccer clinic, Segun Fatuga who is a member of the TREM football academy  said the gesture was a way of giving back to the society and also to use the platform to enrich the kids from his wealth of experience.

The Church presiding Bishop, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, who had played football during his youthful days, created Mike Okonkwo football competition to give football players an opportunity to exhibit their talents, adding that the TREM Football Academy was also the initiative of Bishop Oknokwo.

The best discovered thirty- four football players will be presented with medals and certificates.
