120 Pupils To Feature In Lagos State Secondary School Handball Competition.

One hundred and twenty private and public secondary schools in Lagos State will participate in the third edition of Lagos State Secondary School Handball competition tagged Opeifa Handball Cup.
Chairman, Lagos State Handball Association, Adeola Opeifa, said this year's edition was a continuation of the association's patron and sponsor, Comrade Kayode Opeifa, to be the leading state in Nigeria to breed quality handball players who would represent Lagos State in both national and international competitions.
According to her, the tournament has produced talented handball players who are members of the State's senior and junior handball teams, stressing that the tournament would be played under the guidance of International Handball Federation,IHF, rules.
The association's vice chairman, Wole Shogbamu, thanked the sponsor, for his determination to improve the standard of the game through regular competition.
Shogbamu, said the competition had paved the way for the association to present a formidable team for the National School Sports Games.
The competition, will start on Monday at the Handball Court, Rowe Park centre, of Lagos State Sports Commission, LSSC.
