MFM FC ace forward, Sikiru Olatunbosun, has apologised on behalf of the team over the barren draw against Akwa United FC in the first League match of second stanza of Nigeria Professional Football League,NPFL.
Olatunbosun, who was emotionally sad over the match result, said it was painful that the club had reneged on its promise that none of the NPFL clubs would pick a point against the club at the team's home ground, Agege Stadium.
The striker, said the failure of Stephen Odey to score a penalty in the first half of the encounter did not affect the players morale as the team lost vital scoring chances which would have given MFM FC three points.
The player, who will join the Super Eagles camp in France ahead of the two international friendlies against Corsica and The Hawks of Togo, said his absence would not create a vacuum as it would give room for other players to display their skills.
